Nebraska just came from behind and picked up Scott Frost's first road win as the Husker Head Coach, beating the Fighting Illini in Champaign 42-38. It was a game of two teams: Nebraska in the first half and Nebraska from about midway through the third and on. Almost 700 yards of offense on almost 100 offensive plays. But...four turnovers. And you can't give the ball up four times a game going forward. But Greg, Jon, Paul, Evan, Jill, and Keith discuss the game. In this weeks episode we discuss the importance of “Opening Night With Husker Hoops” selling out. This is big because in Nebraska it is important to sell out games. It makes us look good nationally as if we care about our things and it brings a warm and fuzzy feeling in our bellies. Think of selling out like eating your favorite food. It’s great at first bite but the thrill is fleeting and you will most likely have to re-nourish at some point in the future. Yep, selling out Pinnacle Bank Arena is like eating food. We have an audio-conference system. It’s what I use to do my podcasts. It’s incredibly easy. We used it, Saturday after the game. We got together to talk about what happened. Jon is joined in the conference call by Evan, Patrick, and Nate. It’s a rather depressing and disappointing conversation. Writing this Monday night, I’m still in a funk over this loss. I realize you’re supposed to move on, but man, a whole year of talkingabout Colorado and we lose after having a 17-0 halftime lead. I don’t remember much about what we said other than “FUCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK”, which is appropriate given the circumstances. We’ll have more on the next Five Heart Podcast later in the week.
