Well there you have it folks. It is going to be a long year if Nebraska plays like it did in the opening game against UC Riverside. In fact, I think they probably go winless if they continue to play that way.Unfortunately Patrick was unable to join me (Nate) for this week’s episode. I tell you why. It might blow your mind.So I took some time to let you know where I think things went wrong. There were some good things but not as many as bad.In fact, I watched what went wrong on every single 3 pointer made by UC Riverside. Maybe you’ll enjoy my perspective or not. Either way please subscribe and download! As always:Follow us on Twitter at @Bangs&DagsFollow Kevin on Twitter at @SpartyOnHuskersFollow Patrick on Twitter at @PatrickGerhartFollow Nate on Twitter at @nmchugh85Please Subscribe!!!!! Hi friends. Greg Mehochko, Corn Nation Podcast Manager here. This morning, we're going to entertain you with great post-game commentary from Jon Johnston, Husker Mike, and Zack Grunder, as they talk about the overwhelming disappointing outing in West Lafayette yesterday.I'll be honest. I don't know what to make of this season anymore. I hate to have an apathetic attitude towards Husker football. That's not how I am. That's not how Husker Nation is. And I'd be lying if I said it was anything more then your undying loyalty that drew me in to Husker fandom in the mid-00's, the Bill Callahan era, when things weren't going right but we always felt like the ship would be righted, the course corrected. And I STILL feel like those things will happen. I feel like Scott Frost is the guy to get Nebraska Football back on track. Because as we've stated before on Corn Nation, if we run off Scott Frost, do we really think any other coach will come to Lincoln? We ride with Frost, or high water. But after the Purdue game, where defensive weaknesses were exploited in the same way they were against Indiana, I do wonder if we have to endure 5+ more years of Scott Frost's ENTIRE staff.I haven't listened to this episode yet. I will. It will be part of my Monday listening while I'm at work. But give it a listen and leave your feedback below. You all are awesome and Corn Nation wouldn't be anything without you.Sincerely,Greg Maddog Mehochko Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

There was a good amount of discord in this episode of the Five Heart Podcast. Jon and Hoss yell at each other. Greg steps out of the line of fire, but tries to keep the show on track as we discuss the loss to Indiana. Who stepped up and who shoulders the bulk of the responsibility for Loss Number Four? We also get into the hot topic around the NCAA these days, that of Name, Image, and Likeness, and a student-athlete's ability to generate income from theirs. This week, it's Nebraska at Purdue. Whose dynamic playmakers will have the better day? We'll find out Saturday. Be sure to “Use Your Voice” and became a part of the show by calling (402) 327-1830. This was recorded Saturday evening a little bit after the Indiana loss.Several CN staff are on the call:Jon Johnston
Paul Dalen
Zach Grunder
Jill Ranchbabe
Evan Weeeeebeeeeee
Paul makes the declaration that defensive coordinator Eric Chinander should be fired or find another job. I ask him to make a case for it, and he does a good job of doing that. There is a fair amount of profanity, so you know. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

In this weeks episode we go into Nebraska’s upcoming secret scrimmage against Wichita State. The Huskers will travel down south to Kansas to play against this young yet talented squad from the American Athletic Conference.Yes, the Shockers now play in the AAC.We also start our starting five draft for this upcoming season. It would have been finished but Nate and Patrick had internet issues and could not finish. We know, you are all heartbroken. However, we will finish it sometime in the future.........As always:Follow us on Twitter at @Bangs&DagsFollow Patrick on Twitter at @PatrickGerhartFollow Nate on Twitter at @nmchugh85Please Subscribe!!!!! This week’s episode, I speak with Kenny Bell.I am assuming you don’t need an introduction to whom Kenny Bell is, but I cover that in the introduction anyway. We talk about:NIL - Name, Image, and Likeness - should college athletes be able to make money from themselves? An interesting perspective on Universities building Taj Mahal facilities versus what the NFL provides. What he’s doing now - His tough year, Twitch, playing video games, and we talk about that and the fun that goes with it. So you know, “bullet sponge” is a video game term. His thoughts on this year’s team. And finally, I ask Kenny this question:Do you feel you are one of the reasons that the blindside block is no longer legal in football? It changed the “defenseless player” rule. At the time, I called it the “Kenny Bell Rule”.He talks about what the refs said to him about that play. Then he talks about personal foul penalties that were called against Ndamukong Suh and what the officials told Bo Pelini. Are these all teases?YES. LISTEN TO THE PODCAST DAMMIT.And then subscribe to our podcasts. Subscribe to Kenny’s Twitch channel! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

This post doesn't really require anything else. This is the BOGO of Jon's rants, because you get two. And technically, you're not buying anything. It's a bye week after the Huskers lost the beloved $5 Bits of Broken Chair Trophy, WHICH GOT MORE BROKEN AFTER THE GAME! If you are new to us, we are SBNation’s Nebraska Basketball Podcast! We talk about as much basketball as we can!In episode 23 we have the third member of our tri-pod on to grill him about his great life decisions, his terrible life decisions, and everything in between. Many of you know him as SpartyOnHuskers. We now know him as Kevin.Kevin brings a ton of Big Ten knowledge to the podcast which is greatly needed. It is always great to have “an outsider” perspective. Or at least an un-biased perspective of the Huskers. That is of course unless Nebraska plays Michigan State. Then he is definitely biased and we will have to discount everything he says. BUT UNTIL THEN...We also talk about the decommit of D’Andre Davis. Why? What happened? Who is to blame? We need to blame somebody. That’s how this works right?Nate also went to a basketball coaching clinic in which Nebraska Coach Fred Hoiberg presented. He tells us what he learned. At least what he is able to say as everything else is super secret. To end the podcast we celebrate Kevin coming on by doing a countdown of our favorite Kevins. Alive, dead or fictional. As always:Follow us on Twitter at @Bangs&DagsFollow Kevin on Twitter at @SpartyOnHuskersFollow Patrick on Twitter at @PatrickGerhartFollow Nate on Twitter at @nmchugh85Please Subscribe!!!!!
