While the goal has been to keep these podcasts ten minutes or under I have decided to violate that rule for Episode 7.We need to stop hyperventilating after every single Nebraska football game. It is exhausting. It makes me want to check out. What if we simply are a team that simply isn’t good enough, at this point, to simply think it can show up and win a game against a team like Illinois?I discuss that question and my one main concern about Frost. Please subscribe and download the podcast. Leave a review and let me know what you think! If there’s a football topic that you would like me to comment on for less than 10 minutes then let me know. I appreciate you listening. You can find me on twitter @nmchugh85Also you can contact me through Cornnation.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

41-23.Nebraska’s defense gave up 490 total yards.Nebraska’s offense committed FIVE turnovers. This was the worst Nebraska game I can remember watching for a long time. That’s an incredible statement, given the past few years. Last week it felt like Nebraska turned a corner. This week it was like they turned the corner straight into .It’s solo me giving a post game reaction. It’s not pretty. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Hear Jon and Todd share a few of their favorite memories of The Sidetrack, once owned by the late Joyce Durand.Be sure to “Use Your Voice” and became a part of the show by calling (402) 327-1830. Yoshi Hardrick has agreed to join me on a weekly podcast where we discuss the latest football game. This week we discuss Nebraska’s nice win over Penn State. Yoshi was at the game and gives us his impression of our beloved Huskers on the field. We talk about what stood out to him, and I was surprised at his response that a quarterback sneak for a touchdown is an offensive lineman’s dream. It’s a different perspective! Give it a listen! If you have questions for Yoshi, leave them here in the comments! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Jermarcus Hardrick started at left tackle for Nebraska football for the 2010-2011 seasons. His nickname is “Yoshi”, after the little green dinosaur dude in the Super Mario video games. He was born in a town of 350 people and from there made his way to Fort Scott Community College, playing football for coach Jeff Sims. He came to Nebraska by way of Fort Scott, then made his way into the NFL, then arena football, and then became a Canadian Football League champion with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as they won the Grey Cup in 2019.That is one helluva journey. It’s worth some of your time to hear Yoshi talk about it.Yoshi and I discuss:Growing up in Courtland, Mississippi
Coming to Lincoln, Nebraska, and how different it was than life in Mississippi (stop lights? parking meters? what?)
Going to the NFL
Going to the CFL and becoming a star in Canada with the “Hardrick Hop”

In this weeks episode Patrick interviews Aaron Rath who is the voice of the University of Northern Colorado Bears women’s basketball and is also color commentator for Northern Colorado football. Aaron is here to discuss what schools in the FCS, Divison II, Division III, and NAIA have gone through during the last few months with COVID-19.Many of us who follow Nebraska and the Big Ten have a fairly good grasp over what the larger conferences and schools do to deal with the virus. Aaron gives us a better idea of what many of these smaller conferences and schools are going through. Much of which has lead to may of them either postponing seasons or flat out cancelling them. Not all of them have the resources schools like Nebraska have to fully protect their staff and students as a season goes on. This episode dives in to how many of these schools are getting by.Please Subscribe!Be sure to download and subscribe to our podcast on whatever platform you prefer (that way you won’t miss next week’s very special episode), and you’ll also get all of the other great, but not quite as great, Corn Nation Radio podcasts as well.
