This week on the Five Heart Podcast, the transfer portal is heating up with players exiting and coming to the great state of Nebraska.Wan’Dale Robinson is gone. Dedrick Mills is trying his luck in the NFL Draft. Both will be missed. But the Huskers have incoming skill position players from Montana and Southern California.Meanwhile, the defense keeps a lot of experience with more players saying they are coming back. Is this an endorsement of Chinander and the direction the defensive unit is heading? And Todd is here to fill us all in on Husker Wrestling and give us a preview of tonight’s dual with #1 Iowa, WHICH YOU CAN WATCH ON BTN!So that’s it. Star receiver/running back/all-around explosion that is Wan’Dale Robinson announced that he’s putting his name in the transfer portal in the hopes of finding a place closer to his mother and family that will allow him to achieve his dreams and goals. Robinson cited his mother’s health as the main reason for his departure. Unfortunately his departure brings forth other questions about Scott Frost’s tenure at Nebraska. There are many players across the nation who have entered the transfer portal, but to lose your star offensive player and (probably) best player on your team begs the question if there are other issues, such as having a quarterback who can hit a receiver with a pass 20 yards or more down the field. Greg and I get together after a a short break to talk (or scream, in my case) about how the year 2021 hasn’t really started yet, and how the 70s produced the worst decade of music in human history, even if the 70s (the decade) was only two years long.We actually get to Husker talk as we discuss what the return of JoJo Domann and Cam Taylor-Britt mean to the Nebraska football team.We discuss the pros and cons of the transfer portal and the national title game between Ohio State and Alabama. Greg dyes his hair. I do too. (I DO NOT! - GM) Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Ramzy Nazrallah, executive editor of the Ohio State site Eleven Warriors, joins me to discuss the upcoming 2020 College Football Playoff National Title game between the Buckeyes and the Alabama Crimson Tide.Ramzy and I discuss the evil nature of both teams, that fans hate both these teams and are “forced” to root for Ohio State even though they can’t stand them. There’s a lot of star power in this national title game on both sides:Quarterbacks: Justin Fields - Mac Jones
Running Backs: Trey Sermon - Najee Harris
Receivers: Chris Olave - Devonta Smith
Does Ohio State stand a chance of winning?
How will the Buckeyes stop or slow down the incredible ‘Bama offense?
Is Ohio State’s defense up to the task?
And finally, I ask Ramzy:Do you want to thank Nebraska for bringing back Big Ten football? It’s a fun interview! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Dedrick Mills had a of a game as Nebraska defeated Rutgers 28-21 last week to wrap up the 2020 Nebraska football season. But could Mills have done more? Well, yes, but that’s not his fault. You can carry your team inside the 5, but you can’t get the call for a handoff, apparently.Lovie Smith is out at Illinois and the most unthinkable coach is hired as his replacement. And Nebraska players vote to not play in a bowl game. That’s unusuakBe sure to “Use Your Voice” and became a part of the show by calling (402) 327-1830. Why and how running backs and offensive lineman can get in a “rhythm”
How this game sets up a very young offensive line for future success
A defense that played very well
Overcoming four turnovers and what that means to a young team
Yoshi’s reaction to me telling him Nebraska had opted out of a bowl game and football season is over

This week on the Five Heart Podcast, Jon and Greg are joined by Akelo Roberts to talk about some of the more recent events in Nebraska Football.Akelo was in Lincoln and in Memorial Stadium for the Huskers’ loss to Minnesota, so we spend a little time talking about his first visit to Nebraska. While it ended in a Husker loss, Akelo had a good, albeit cold, trip up north. So much that when he returned to the 68 degrees in Florida, he was sweating. We don’t feel sorry for him. Then we get into recruiting, and Nebraska’s big day this past Wednesday.Be sure to “Use Your Voice” and became a part of the show by calling (402) 327-1830.
